About

GonePublic is written by Noelle McAfee — that’s me. I am a political philosopher at the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University and the associate editor of the Kettering Review. I started this blog when my brilliant friend Cole Campbell was killed in a car crash in January 2007, and I continue it in his spirit: irreverent, deeply democratic, committed to ideas, to public life, and to the possibility that all of us might make this world a better place. To see that initial blog for Cole and the outpouring of grief from his friends, go here. You can find out about my own background and pursuits by visiting my website here or check out my twitter profile.
